Community Programs
Roseland Lighthouse of Chicago desires to meet the needs of the community. Many of our programs focus on empowering adults and children in their personal growth and spiritual development. Some of these programs include, but are not limited to, the following:
For adults: Spiritual development, Bible study groups, resume development, job readiness, parenting skills
For teen mothers: Discipleship groups, life skills training (e.g., cooking classes, basics of parenting, and exercise classes such as yoga).
For children: Bible studies, trips to local museums, athletic outings (such as skating), and trips to summer camps.
Pray Roseland: Provide prayer and encouragement on the streets of Roseland
Back-to-School Backpacks for Children
Trunk-or-Treat: A fun and safe activity for children for Halloween
Boxes of Love: Provide Thanksgiving dinners to families in need
Homeless Care Kits: Provide boxes with blankets, scarves, gloves, hats, socks, toothpaste, deodorant, and food to the homeless
Christmas Drives: Provide coats and toys for children in the community
